Craig, I can offer no first hand opinion yet... I'm building a Tern and only have the hull glassed so far. You can talk to the folks at the Wooden Boat Shop here in Seattle. They sell the CLC's and other strip style yaks. They even have a finished CLC on hand and as they are right along the water of the Montlake(sp?)Cut you could probably try it out. I've seen a CLC in process at a studio and think I made the right choice of getting the Tern based on the reliance of the stitch and glue technique and minimal forms required. Good Luck!
