The conventional wisdom is that the more time the deck and hull spend off the forms the more opportunity they have of getting out of alignment. The problem is even greater if the deck or hull sits off the forms with the outside glassed and the inside raw wood. Once they (deck/hull) are glassed inside and outside they tend to be more stable.

When I did my Guillemot I glassed the deck inside and out first then got busy with work after glassing the outside of the hull. I let the deck sit off of the forms for 3-4 weeks and had a little problem with miss alignment.

The two basic rules of thumb are:

1. Keep the hull and deck on the forms whenever possible.

2. Try to glass the insides as soon as possible after glassing the outside.

If you follow these you shouldn't have a problem.
