Actually, to build the mold and seat probably took less than 10 hours of real work spread over a few days (waiting for epoxy to cure). Once you have the mold, building the seat takes at most a couple hours to lay on all the glass, and once cured, a couple hours to shape the edges and glue on the thin minicell underneath.
