I like that idea. Also, I plan to tie a loop through the epoxy-filled bow and stern of my kayak rather than install any hardware and I am hoping to find instructions for a type of knot that I've seen from my longline fishing days. It is one that you braid the strands from both ends together for several inches and trim off the excess beyond the braid. Do you know where might I be able to find a knot-tying guide (on the web, perhaps)? p.
