robert, I just remembered that when I glued the deck and hull together I was surprised to find that the interior of the seam was quite open,approx 1/8",so I must have beveled it too much, at the time it didn't seem like much. other thoughts, I ran some thickened glue down the inside of the seam when it was assembled and after glued by syrynge. The reason for this was that I didn't want to attempt to lay the seam tape down into the ends of the boat, some people have no problems doing it as directed. I figured it would be much easier if I had access through the deck hatches, and it was.
