I used Sureform (sp?) rasp, the kind encased in about a 6-inch planing handle, and it worked well. BTW, about this being critical, I asked the folks at Pygmy, and they said it wasn't critical but purely cosmetic. If you don't bevel the edge, you get a splayed edge that shows the end grain of the plywood -- but this would eventually be glued over with eopxy.
