You will be much happier in the long run with a contractors type saw rather than tabletop. The extra stiffness and weight along with better motor will allow faster and smoother cuts.

Delta costs a little more but is always a good choice.

Jet is darn near as good (some say better)

DeWalt is a little less desirable.

Ryobi tends to have more bells and whistles - but in my opinion often at the expense of good solid vibration free performance.

Summary, over the years I have bought several Ryobi tools that looked good but just didn't perform (ie. the Bosch random orbit sander was so much better, faster, smoother than the Ryobi that it was night and day). I have some Delta tools that hurt my wallet to buy but make me happy every time I use them. I have a Jet drillpress that also keeps on performing well.

If you just can't go for the contractor saws here is a link to table top saw reviews http://www.augusthome.com/woodworking/toolreviews/saws.htm
