I am using red cedar, and have never worked with white cedar or redwood. I have worked with pine and a full array of hardwoods with no problems.

I have thouroughly enjoyed this project and plan to continue in the future - either taking more precautions and/or changing species. It's good to know that I shouldn't run into anything nastier than what I have now.
