I did what CLC recommended for those that do not want to poke holes through their hulls (which often isn't very strong anyhow). I used a hole saw and my drill, making 4 circular pieces of wood with a hole dead center. Ran a bolt through the hole and bolted the wooden disks up to the ends of my Yakima foot braces. Then I slathered on cabofilled epoxy , and stuck them against my hull. Let dry, faired in and painted.
