I use one on the ouside of the hull to get the strips level, FAST, and on a bit of floor on the interior Otherwise, it is way to big to follow the curves in the wood.

When I screw up on 'glassing, the belt sander does a nice job of improving my wfforts. It cuts through the old mistakes in no time. I use more mild methods for feathering the edges of the area I've cleared before putting on a patch.
