a nice wood flush deck fitting

See the link below for some flush deck fittings that worked very nicely on my Pygmy Arcic Tern (I couldn't bear the thought of putting those cheesy plastic do-dads on my nice wood boat.) They will accept 2 bungees running through them.

I installed them on the deck before mating the deck to the hull. This allowed me to glass right over them, then cut out the opeinings with an X-acto knife after the epoxy had cured for a day. This will help prevent the dowel from pulling out if it happens to get an excessive load.
