Could you just staple thru a pc of cardbd? or a strip of cdbd aligned w/ the forms w/ say a line drawn on it so that you can line up all the staples? Has anyone tried running a fine file down the staples to make them really sharp so that no denting of fibres takes place? ( then wetting and steaming would close the wedged holes??)

would any of this work?
