I now suggest adding some sort of inside fill coat to seal any pin-holes in the inside glass coat. Squeegeeing a coat would work fine, or a couple coats of thinned varnish. In the interest of weight savings you could wipe on epoxy with a rag. Really work the resin into the weave pattern and then wipe off the excess.
