Check an article in Sea Kayaker, October 1997, Bob. One-page, cartoon-type instructional article credited to Gilbert Scates (and corrected in the December 1997 issue to Stewart Gilbert --- one wonders how they screwed that up!)

Title is "Floating Kayak Truck", and the author claims it can be built for under $30, all from non-corroding materials. Worth a look.

Primex makes an awful nice cart, but it runs over $100. Another company called BoatTote in Pomapano Beach makes a very simple but effective cart, big, wide plastic wheels --- but, again, $75!
