I used masking tape to restrict the width of the fillets,pre-sealed the panels and squeegeed off the extra(this reduces the amount of epoxy the wood soaks up when glassing, Then I went crazy as usual with the glass and now have an average weight boat. I personally like to have a boat strong enough to climb on the back deck in the water. When I made my first CLC patuxent 17.5 I used up so much epoxy I had to buy an extra quart! Now I've got more than a quart left over on this boat.
