Here's another possibility. A full-width strip is hard to bend to the sheerline, even with all the clamps, straps, hardware and so on. If you use two half-width strips to start, at the same time, it works pretty well. Staple scraps on the forms on the deck side of the sheerline at every form. Then install one strip dry, aligned with U clamps, straps, wedges, or whatever you decide to use. Glue up another half-width strip and place it immediately, then set up your clamps on both strips. Repeat on the other side of the boat. Adjust the clamps if necessary to fair out the curve. Allow overnight for the glue to cure. Now the curve is established, and you can continue stripping.
