Paul,

Read this answer with interest, following my question a couple of weeks ago about timber for a skin and frame kayak.

I can get Cypress floorboards, but not any other size stock as far as I know, sounds like it might be able to be part of the skin and frame boat when I get around to building it. Assuming that it is the same Cypress and not another local name for a different wood - yellow colour, dark knots, harder than ordinary pine, tangy smell when cut, white ant resistant - sounds like the same one to me.
