Dave, You could also try using paneling nails. Their heads are very tiny, so they don't show much, but they also hold a bit less. I used them and they worked fine, but I backed them up with a strip of duct tape every 12-16" and some bungies to keep the deck down until the epoxy cured. If you get the ones that are the color of the mahogany when it is saturated with epoxy, you can barely see them.
