I'm wondering also if I should run my just
completed kayak over a shallow rocky stream?
It's the Yellow River in Iowa, some nice aerated
water in spots, but lots of flat water too.
A few years ago I took my strip canoe down the
Yellow and really scun up the bottom. The bottom
was only glassed with one layer of 6oz though.
Still though there were no punctures, but every
time I scraped the bottom I thought of the damage
being done. This time I'm going to take my waders
and do some extra portaging.
