about 5 years ago purchased 3 kayak molds used professionally in the 70's from a guy in nashua NH. he use to make them as a business and sell locally (no brand name). the market disappeared when roto-molding plastic came in, and the molds sat in his shop for 25 years. the larger is 14' and a touring style with slight keel at bow and stern good for ponds and up to class 1 whitewater. the smaller is 13' with a good rocker and fun in the rivers, been in class 3, but too long to do much with. the middle is a mix of the two at 14'. we've made them out of polyester resins and the first ones built 5 years ago are still kicking around. takes about 5-6 hours first day then 2-3 the second day. steve a.
