"The Stripper's Guide to Canoe-building" by David Hazen has full size plans for two kayaks, an 18 foot and a 20 foot model. Either can be made as a person kayak, but the 20 footer is probably a better choice for 2 people.

Check at Amazon.com for the book. It should be somewhere around $18 to $20. Or, contact the publisher: Tamal Vista Publicatons, 222 Madrone Ave, Larkspur California, 94939

This is an older book (copyright 1976) and makes a lot of references to using polyester resin with the fiberglass cloth. Most people now use epoxy resin. Get instructions from the manufacturer or supplier of your resin, and use those. Except for that technical difference, the book is highly informative and contains complete, step-by-step instructions on building a strip-built boat--canoe OR kayak.

Hope this helps
