For those of us who grew up in wooden boats, nothing can compare.

Wood is the heart because of the history of each tree, of craftsmen who know wood and boats, of the labor and love that has gone into boats.

Wood is not perfect, but it is perfect for boats. Wood needs care. Even under fiberglass/epoxy. Nothing is ageless.

The fugitive quality of wood is as the blossom of a flower. I will take the real flower knowing it will be gone quickly.

Plastic flowers may work for you. Really? Trade the essence for what? Utility?

I'm back to beauty. It makes life worth living, it inspires.
Right now I'm looking out my window here in Maine and the fall colors of the trees are incredible! No picture will ever give you the experience of being here now. People come here from all over the world to see what? Natural beauty! It charges our soul.

Perhaps you under estimate your abilities. You won't know until you try.

The poorest made wood boat looks better than plastic factory boats.
