Hi Patrick,

You will use about 32 bdft. For the Solo.

Traditionally strip thickness is 1/4". If you are going to use B&C i think you have to use 1/4" because of the router bit size. Don't qoute me on that one.

You can get about 20 strips with an standard blade, on a 1x8. Make sure you get a ripping blade not a crossutting blade.

I think I got 25 strips using a thin kerf blade. You will have to make the boat fair no matter what thickness of strip you use.

I have built the bootlegger and I used 1/4" strips b&c. My finished boat came in at 43 lbs.
