thought i would share a picture from a building friend, Boris, who i always thought did some pretty exceptional work and has used veneers.

attached is a picture of his badairka.....the sheer line is veneer (furniture edging). not discernable as not being a strip except upon very very close inspection.

his technique...stain hull, epoxy skim coat the hull, apply veneer, lightly sand to get rid of any edge, apply another epoxy seal coat over the veneer (use squeegee) to take away any rise of the veneer tape, then glass and finish as usual.

anyway....this is kind of the feedback i was curious about.
