Changing the overall size, length, width and depth completely changes the design, it's a new unproven design then. All the factors don't change the design equally. Changing the length by a fairly small percentage often doesn't change the design to a great extent except it adds drag but it also adds waterline length so if you have the amount of power required you have the possibility to go faster. On a 340 mile race I don't think the added drag will be worth it.

Personally I'd Email Nick, he's a busy guy, and I'd also look at other designs that might be a better fit for your size.
