Thanks Ken, good advice.

My 2nd boat (if you don't count the canvas over rib canoe I built in college) was a modified Great Auk I lofted from Nicks book. It's a monster at 17'; takes turns like an old Cadillac; has dumped me just once on confused seas when someone distracted me! Did they distract me on purpose, Who's to know? After all, I was leaving their plastic kayaks in the dust.

So yea, I've got the need for speed and since Nick has and is doing so much to support DIY kayaks, I feel honor bound to support him in return.

Just one man's opinion.
