The quote created some traffic but hopefully we are working on more interesting things. This is my current build. And I love it when I get to this point. Unfortunately I have other commitments every night this week. This is the most normal boat I have deigned. I designed it for a few reasons one being photography with my big 500mm lens replacing the waters dancing solace. Another being my 6'4" son who has a problem with his legs falling asleep in lower kayaks. I created more room in the cockpit for higher knees and to juggle camera equipment and possibly have an under the deck gear hammock. Higher deck for a dryer ride and more space so it still has ample room for tripping. The stability turned out higher than I was shooting for, it is a little wider, stays pretty full out towards the ends, and has a flatter bottom all increasing stability. Still fast enough for a tripping boat and even an enjoyable day boat. Short enough for pocking around in marshes, long enough for real water. Enough rocker and a little rounding on the bottom to hopefully make it responsive for a wide boat. We will see how the swoops on the deck go, both building and from a look standpoint.
