I don't believe that it could be curved after it is complete. I think it would be too wide.

I had previously used a similar sheer strip on a K1 where bending wasn't a problem because the sheerline was straight. However, then I built a K1 with the deck lowered at the catch point and a sheerline that was not straight. So I used the same solution that I had used on that kayak.

I assembled the strip on a board so that it already had the bends built in. I had glued the central pattern together in short sections a bit over a foot long. Those short sections had a very slight curve right from the start.
