Go to abebooks.com and stay away from Amazon if you are going to get "cranky" about them.
I'm just pointing out that there always has been "scams" or price gouging as long as there have been people.
Its just easier now and more noticeable.

It never ceases to amaze me that when I have something I object to there is something wrong with me, when others do the same thing they are being reasonable.

The fact is in spite of individuals or small businesses selling on Abe Books, who I know are not using an algorithm (my mother) there are high prices there also. Until the books won't sell. We call that the free market.

Not going to respond to this rabbit trail again. I'm a little sorry I responded at all. I'd like to hear more about actual boats.
