I think that if the decision is made to repair the boat the only way to do it reasonably would be to split the hull and deck, and do the project as if the existing material is just a core, and fiberglass it just like a strip boat. Then I'd put some marine topsides paint on it and hope that I didn't have to do a critical surf landing.
