That's a serious seat for performance by the look of it.

Yes, it is the seat in my new racing kayak. It is based on an old K1 seat.
It is still quite comfortable at the end of a two hour race, but becomes uncomfortable after about an hour when I use it on a very leisurely paddle.
So it works well for racing, but doesn't work for cruising.
That is a small part of the reason that I believe that a type of seat that works for one activity will not necessarily be ideal for another activity.
