First thanks for the info on the Moisture Content on the Redwood.

I use a Freud 24T ripping blade, I think it's .093Thickness. Does a pretty good job. The WRC is finished on 3 sides. I was going to use my hand plane to bevel the rough edge. My concern was using a 13" planer to take down the thickness or even the thickness on each piece. I don't have a planer like that. I have a powered hand planer that I was going to mount 1/4' strips on each side of the base and plane each strip individually. I'd prefer not to do that, but I would if necessary. I figured the strips would be close enough in size(thickness) that when it came time to fair the hull on the outside. I never thought about turning the pieces on their end and running them through my table router to even the strips out. Man I'm glad you guys are out there.
