Easy to fix. Just quick glue a couple pieces of wood strips on edge about 2 inches long to the narrow half. put them in a vertical plane sticking up about one inch above the sheer line .they will look like teeth.when you push the deck on the teeth will spread the narrow side and compress the wide side. you can put a little extra epoxy filler coat in the area before hand so when you plane the( teeth)strip off you do not damage the area. just make sure to contour the edges of the strip so it is making contact right at the sheer. hope you are using Nicks belt and suspenders method.. sun is not up here yet so hope this makes sense after a couple cups of coffee. This has worked for me every time . heck 2mm that will be a piece of cake. do not sand away the difference . get it right before the marriage. all the best rh
