Skin-on-Frame: A new type of bow and stern

I have been debating how to make a very light but strong bow and stern....... Then I remembered the 4" plastic sewer pipe I use for 6' outriggers with a 90 degree elbow for smooth water cutting ends...

I was wondering if I could gather the six 3/4" by 1" longitudinal strips of Spruce around a piece of that 4" plastic sewer pipe at both ends of the Canoe / Rowing Scull and through bolt them to the pipe and each other with 10/32 bolts....
With the 90 degree elbow straight up, I can then make a raised cutwater as tall as I want / likely another six or 8 inches....

I say a skin on Frame Rowing Scull because of disability I cant paddle very far but I can sure still row.....
Since this boat is for fishing,The main body might be 24 inch across the bottom and flared out to 32 inch at the gunnel..... Dory like, and probably 16 foot long..... Maybe 14" sides....
... What do the denizens of the forum think of my idea?
Thanks, Lewis in San Diego...
