Like you I've used the thin neoprene from Sweet and have been happy with the results using contact cement.

Thanks for the info Nick! I'm always looking for a better way to get the job done.

For all you folks out there, who have not worked with contact cement, contact cement is very tricky unless you have a plan to mask off areas, or hold them away from bonding until you are ready, because you get one chance to get it right. You can hold areas apart, with sticks, or wax paper, while you press together other areas.

For seats, I lay the neoprene on a table, with the glue surface up, and press the closed cell foam seat onto it. Then flip it over and press and stretch the neoprene into the seat area. I've had trouble with seats coming un-bonded from recessed surfaces, so now I always apply two coats of contact cement to all surfaces.
