Nope ... no camping for me ... just day trips and surfing. IMO the F1 is deceiving ... there's a lot more volume there than ya think ... check out Brian's pics of the boat loaded with 110# of gear. It's a kewl little boat ... easy to paddle and maneuver ... plenty of stability ... surfs very well indeed ... faster than ya think ... novel ... FUN!

I really appreciate the advice and info. Do you camp out of your F1? This is a primary use for the one I'm planning on building. It looks to have adequate volume for that. It also looks like Brian has designed an extremely versatile boat.
