Jack,

I like the kayak parts from Topkayaker. I went for the pair complete hatch straps.

You could search their online catalog for other pieces and parts to build your own hatch straps.

When I buy my straps I usually get other parts as well, such as reflective life line (4 or 5 mm) and bungee cord.

I know some guys don't like all the hardware on the deck, but my style of paddling function trumps style, mostly.

Topkayaker has always shipped on time and provides a one stop shopping...

My main concern for external hatch straps is to avoid losing a hatch while going down the highway with my kayak.
