Thanks for the info.
Things must work differently from where you are!

OK- I think I figured out what was happening for me- this may not apply to anybody else.

I wasn't 'logged in' to my profile, but was just posting messages with my email address (and supposedly a password). This was an on-going problem for me since the 'upgrade' in December.

No login button you say? (tetrabb.com - are you listening??)
And no place for password entry on the 'My Profile' page ......

Apparently I needed to go the 'Preferences" page (not accessible from all pages here, but there is often a link at the upper left....) Re-set my preferences using my user name and password. Apparently THAT is the equivalent of 'Logging in'.
'Logged In' users do see the 'Upload embedded file:Choose File' option (??) I think, as it has appeared for me now.

Back to your regular program....
