I did my Shooting Star with two layers of 3.25 satin on the entire hull, and a single layer of the same inside. All from Raka. The boat came in at 35 pounds and was my first strip build. Wet-out was not a problem, and the hull is lovely, at least where I didn't screw something up in the woodworking. I think I could build the same boat lighter the second time around. It has proved to be a rugged craft.
