Considering your assessment, using it on the inside would not be a liability regarding issues of abrasion or transparency . I bought some 3.25 oz tape that was tight weave. I used it on the bottom along the keel and some small bubbles were hard to eliminate. There is a epoxy by system three called ever clear that is touted as a low viscosity. Maybe this would penetrate without the need for the dreaded ridged roller. best rh
