Don't waste your time with bungee cord

Since no one else has said it, I will; using bungee cord with sliders is a waste of time, as you won't be able to get enough tension on it to hold anything securely. After going through a lot of effort, you'll probably find that out the first time you use it, then you'll be stuck doing it all over again. You don't have to use leather, either. Polyester cord works well and it doesn't slacken when it gets wet, as Nylon cord does. As far as installation goes, you can melt the ends of cord and make a point, then twist it to work it though tight holes in the sliders.
