I do all of my scarfs on a disc sander. Just hold the two strips together against a square block to
keep them perpendicular to the table and push against the disc. The angle isn't too critical as
it will be the same on both strips and the process is far safer than the shrapnel produced on a
table saw with any kind of "safe" jig.
Don't get me wrong. I love my table saw! For the right uses.
