I couldn't agree with you more. We just bought a glass tandem from a local builder. My wife loves to paddle but has MS so she's limited in distance/duration. So I suggested that we buy a tandem. I toyed with the idea of building one but 18.5' is about the maximum length I can build inside. Plus I'm not in the mood to take on another building project just right now - gasp!!!

We really enjoy the tandem and like you, can get it moving pretty good. I'm coming to the tandem from my Black Pearl so I can understand the Ferrari / Greyhound comparison more than you can imagine!!
