Skin-on-Frame: More questions....Who knew!

I am getting close to making a coaming and stitching decision.

Coaming: I am looking at the yost style supported coaming. Bottom ring under the skin and blocked on the sides. The skin then stapled to the underside of the first ring. After covering and coating second larger ring screwed and glued to the first ring. I am no lightweight and this seems like a good option.
Or am I better off doing a more traditional floating coaming stitched to the skin as its only attachment point.

Stitching: I have watched all the videos of the normal running stitch followed by rolling the fabric and doing a cross-back stitch seems easy enough. The other option is using 1/8" cords rolled into the fabric at the center of the kayak and then loop stitched.

Anyone have thoughts on all of this. Now that the end is near on my build I am having trouble making these detail decisions. I think a little paralysis by analysis has set in.

Thanks
Stefan
