Would 1/8" glassed lauan be lighter or heavier than your 1/4" ply (I genuinely don't know)? I'm already planning on glassing the coaming lip of 1/8" lauan because I got a piece that had interesting grain. Fishstalker is 1/8" lauan and its hatches work just fine so I was figuring on doing that.
