: OK....dumb question of the day. For those who don't remember, I
: started this project 5 years ago. I purchased the wood, built
: the forms and got everything ready to go. Life happened and I am
: just getting it built now. That being said.......wait for it.

: Why do I have these "notches" on form #9 ?? I know the
: tops are cut off so they can be removed easily when I strip the
: cutout. But that notch is killing me. The wood I'm using on the
: deck is about an inch wide and the twist is going to be fun
: enough.

: Thanks

: Mike

What design are you building?
Have you put your template for the cockpit opening (or cockpit recess cutout) over the molds? A few times, I've wasted time 'fussing' about areas that were cut away later.

Ripping some strips in half will make life easier if you have 'twisty' areas, and if you keep the half-strips organized, the cosmetics won't suffer too much (well, not too much for my standards, anyway.)
I had a bunch of 1" strips and I found they were too wide for anything but very flat deck sections.
