I've read about ceramic kitchen knives. Sharp and hard yes, but brittle.
As a freebie, or extra-great.

Maybe set up a holder (hole in your shop bench?) so that it'll always have a safe place.
I know I'd probably lay it on the bench, bump it so it rolls on to the concrete and....
