- well, thank you for sharing that with us, Bill!

While we're into confessions, for my plywood boats I rely on symmetry rather than string or measurement as I don't trust my eyes anymore. I cut the planks for the two sides at the same time, make sure the ends meet exactly on the stems - I am close-sighted so that's no problem for me - and so far the boats have come out symmetrical as far as I can see. Of course, in view of what I just said about my eyesight . . . no! dammit, they're prefect!
