: After reading Bill's post, I headed for the basement and fired some
: 9/16 Ceiltile staples through 1/4" WRC into MDF.

I've got two electrics, use them often for insulation etc., tried on the boats but didn't have much sucess and the old manual ones work great and are cheap.

One is a Bostich don't remember what the other is, neither were inexpensive, but they won't drive a 9/16" staple flush and my old manuals do every time.

One problem is I often use wood other than cedar: pine, mahogany etc that are much more difficult to drive staples thru.
