Because of stability, I end up paddling the same speed along the coast in bumpy conditions in my tippy Fenn Elite surfski and more stable Fenn XT surfski. Stability and speed wise the Black Skimmer seems very similar to my Fenn XT. But of course, one hull is rounded and the other hard chined with some V. But of course, I can also do 25 or so competition rolls in my Black Skimmer. As for the surfski, well...
